About

What This Is

Retreating Reality is a gaming news and tools site. We care most about the worlds players are about to retreat to, starting with the next chapter of MMOs: World of Warcraft: Forever and Guild Wars 3.

The Plan

• Right now: a home for news, analysis, and opinion on the games above, written the old-fashioned way.
• Next: a gear planner for WoW: Forever, fed by item data parsed directly from the game client so it stays accurate the moment patches drop.
• Later: community features like saving and upvoting builds, and coverage that widens beyond MMOs into every genre.

Covered Games

Each game has its own hub. See them all on the Games page.

• World of Warcraft: Forever (MMORPG)
• Guild Wars 3 (MMORPG)
